Serial no. G37956. Manufactured in 1899, chambered in 8x27mmR Lebel, 4¾” octagonal barrel. Bore shows scattered frosting and oxidation with rifling remaining visible. Approximately 75% of the original blue finish remains, while the factory markings remain sharp and well-defined. Checkered wooden grips have had a coat of varnish applied and remain in good overall condition. Manufactured at the turn of the century, the Model 1892 would go on to see extensive French military service during the First World War, making this a handsome pre-war example of one of France’s most recognizable military revolvers. Action indexes correctly with a nice, tight lockup.
